Once they finally understood the issue, there was the suggestion that this was a known bug in this release. Each app in the Office pro plus package opens with an Office splash screen. Unless I happen to run Visio that I purchased at the same time. This consistently comes up with a Visio splash screen.
If an Office app is run immediately following the use of Visio, the Office app will open with an Office splash screen. Close the app, reopen, and it loads an Office splash screen. However, it is more insidious, in that if you look at your account, you'll see that an Office subscription has been created.
No comment from tech reps about this. There is a "contact us" link on the bottom of the HUP page. If it is showing up as , that is not what they are advertising.
So I have 2 questions for you. What does it say under the Office logo? Does it show your installation is activated, and exactly what Office bundle does it say you have. You say it says you have Office ??? Confirm it is activated and tell us if there is an expiration date. See, the strange thing is that Office licenses are bundle specific.

Yes, I have spoken with an HUP specific rep or two. My system shows only Office Professional Plus installed. Signing into My Account, it does not show that I have any subscriptions. But when I select My Office from the taskbar, it opens with an Office splash screen. It then shows I have a subscription to Office Office GCC G3 , with an activation date same day I installed so-called Office , but no expiration date shown.
Any suggestions appreciated, thanks! Right now I expect to simply give up and revert to Office , assuming my HUP link will still let me re-download and my old activation code still works.

Purchased and downloaded via HUP the Office pro plus package. Installs without issue, but splash screen reflects that the installed product is actually Office I refuse to accept a subscription based product, so I need to know whether there actually is an Office product available. I have contacted Microsoft support on this service request , but no success in achieving an install of Office I have received a few follow-up emails from tech support, and they all invite me to call back , but of course I can never speak to anyone, I just get bounced to online support.

Completed install and activation of so-called "Office pro plus;". All apps open with a splash screen saying it's an Office app. Tech support seems to suggest this should be ignored, and is a potential bug in the app. I am having the same problem. I manage our Microsoft HUP at work. I too don't want Office , but more importantly I can't figure out how to register this trial copy of now.
